MARA (Marine Aggregate Extraction - Risk Assessment Framework) will provide a methodology for evaluating the risks associated with dredging of the sea bed. MARA will enable effective planning at the regional and site scales.

This project is funded by the Marine Environment Protection Fund (MEPF) element of the Aggregate Levy Sustainability Fund (ALSF) that is distributed by DEFRA to a range of organisations. The Centre for Environment Fisheries and Aquaculture Science (CEFAS) is the distributing body for MARA.
